Usually an overnight stay is sufficient and the return back home is possible next morning after the packing is removed.
Edema and bruising are not uncommon.
A few days later you are seen in consultation. The splint is removed. You now have a good idea of the new profile, but the edema is still present and gives the impression of a wide nose on a front view. During the following days this edema will fade and the nose acquires a finer look.
The sutures are resorbable and it is not necessary to remove them.
A delay of one to two months is preferable before any type of sport’s activity is resumed
